Star Stories
Ms. Miller and Ms. Hartley brought their 4th grade students from Fountaindale today. They did a wonderful job acting out the parts from the Star Stories they learned and found many constellations in the sky. They were able to quickly identify the Big Dipper and use the pointer stars on the outside part of the cup to find the North Star. Here are some pictures from their September 12 visit:
Ursa Major and Ursa Minor (The Great Bear and the Little Bear)
Draco the Dragon
Cepheus & Cassiopeia
Pegasus the Flying Horse
Astronomers of the day
Each class that came to the Planetarium today also had an astronomer of the day who exhibited the attention to detail and enthusiasm every good astronomer needs! Congratulations to our Astronomers of the Day!
