Chinese Legends
The third graders from Boonsboro came to the STAR LAB today to learn all about Chinese constellations and legends. They learned about how the Chinese divided the sky into four Palaces, one for every season, and how each Palace was ruled by a beast that the Chinese found as a constellation in the night sky. They learned the stories of how these beasts came to rule the Palaces and compared what the Chinese saw in the night sky to what we see today. Here are a few pictures from their visits!
