Analysis of Stellar Data
Springfield Middle School came to the planetarium today for the new program, Analysis of Stellar Data. They learned how to find certain stars in the sky how to infer information about these stars based on their color, type and distance from the earth. They also learned about absolute and apparent magnitude and how to figure out how much brighter objects of different magnitudes appear to be in the sky. Here are a few pictures from their trip!
Astronomers Of The Day
At the end of the visit each teacher chose their Astronomer of the Day. These students exhibited the participation, listening and questioning skills needed to make a great astronomer! Congratulations to our Astronomers of the Day!
