Cosmic Colors
The fifth graders from Emma K. Doub came to the planetarium today to participate in the program, Cosmic Colors. The students learned all about the electromagnetic spectrum and the reasons we see a blue sky in the day and different colors of stars at night. They also explored reflection and absorption of light and predicted colors of objects around different colored stars.
Astronomers Of The Day
At the end of the visit each teacher chose their Astronomer of the Day. These students exhibited the participation, listening and questioning skills needed to make a great astronomer! Congratulations to our Astronomers of the Day!
