Ms. Garnett's Class
Sunny Side of the Moon
Ms. Garnett's second grade class came to the Planetarium today to meet Sunny the Dog and to learn about the moon. They learned about some constellations, and did a great job of identifying the phases of the moon as well as figuring out that we see different phases because the moon revolves around the Earth. Finally, they met Sunny the Dog and even helped him sing some songs to learn more about the moon so that Sunny could become an astronaut! Here are some pictures from their visit!
Astronomer of the Day
At the end of the visit Ms. Garnett chose her astronomer
of the day. This student exhibited the participation, listening and
questioning skills needed to make a great astronomer! Congratulations to
our Astronomer of the Day!
